Our kayaking eco tour explores both the wonderful waters & beautiful beaches of Shell Key Preserve. This is an entirely outdoors experience! We do have to adjust daily tour times to work with the tides+weather so PLEASE LET US KNOW if you are only available for the 1 time slot you select. We'll meet everyone at the launch, do intros, give waterproof bags,& get prepped for kayaking. No experience needed; we'll give everyone a paddling overview! We use primarily double kayaks for ease+comfort. (Your booking time is the planned arrival time. Average water depth 2ft) After that we'll get launched into Shell Key Preserve, a beautiful shallow environment with tons of wildlife & a very interesting ecosystem which we'll discuss+the history of the Preserve! From the shallow seagrass flats to the large mangrove islands to the pristine beaches of Shell Key itself we'll try to cover it all! Including traveling through some mangrove tunnels (tides permitting, mainly Mar-Oct) We'll also look for+talk about some of our incredible wildlife in the Preserve including dolphins, manatees, & other fish/birds! Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. After you book I will send out the location. It will be either Lutz, Odessa, or S. Saint Petersburg. If you book first, I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment used in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you for being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please choose a different experience. We want you to come away feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

Note: we will resume in the fall = Cooler Temps. Enjoy your summer. Your 1.5+ hour interactive nature experience with the bees begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. You’ll sample honey & enjoy a cold beverage sweetened with honey. This is Ecco tourism with some of mother nature’s most important workers.

A smiling face will greet you as soon as you arrive at our launch site. We will provide you with ice cold drinking water, a waterproof bag to protect your cellphone, keys, wallet, etc. We'll walk down to the kayak launch area and go over all safety precautions including proper use of your life jacket & provide a detailed paddle lesson. Once we are ready to paddle, we will embark on a two hour kayak adventure exploring beautiful Sarasota Bay and the world famous Lido Key mangrove tunnels. I'll tell you all about the interesting history of our beautiful bay as well as talk to you about the incredible flora and fauna we encounter! If we are lucky, we may even be visited be amazing dolphins and gentle manatees. Then, we will journey through Lido Key's spectacular mangrove tunnels while we learn of their importance to our coastal ecosystem. Once our tour is over, we will send you on your way with memories that will last a lifetime. Important note: I will message you immediately after you book to get your preference on single kayaks or tandems. Take a clear kayaking adventure through Shell Key Preserve, a tropical paradise with unique marine habitats. Your knowledgeable ecotour guide will welcome you and provide brief paddling and safety instructions. Then, you’ll be loaded into your tandem clear kayak and off on a 2-hour adventure! Your tour guide leads the way around the mangrove islands, through the shallows, and to the beach. If the tide is high, your guide will show you a hidden mangrove tunnel. You’ll also take a break at Shell Key Beach, where you can collect shells, take in the views, and be surrounded by nature. Your guide will be happy to take plenty of photos, provide awesome unique facts, and make sure you have fun along the way! While in the preserve, be on the lookout for a Manatee or the beautiful pink Roseate Spoonbills in the summer months. White Pelicans call the sandbars of Shell Key Preserve their home during the winter months! Dolphins frolic in crystal-clear waters throughout the year, and cormorants love to swim alongside your kayak. Don’t forget to look through your clear kayak for a unique view of the ecosystems that are underwater! Chances are that you’ll see a variety of wildlife, but sightings are random and not guaranteed.

ABOUT CLASS: Through breathing and gentle beginner-appropriate yoga postures, we open ourselves up to enjoy the ocean air and the blue sky, close with a 5 minute rest. Length: 1 hour. QUESTION: What type of yoga is it? How is it different than the classes I've been to? ANSWER: More standing and balancing postures than some indoor yoga classes because we want to experience the view and breathe the ocean air deeply. That said, this class is doable and accessible for all bodies and levels of yogis. If you are unable to get up and down off the floor easily, you are welcome to use the built-in bench seating to take all postures from a seated position. Railings surrounding the space can be used for support. Our platform is 100% wheelchair accessible and there are several handicapped parking spaces within 150 yards of the site. Mats, sunscreen and limited yoga props are provided. A beach towel will work just as well as a yoga mat in this space. We do have a few mats to lend as well. Bring home a lasting souvenir experience and take a photo or two afterward. Please wear stretchy clothing that will not fall up or down during yoga practice. "Yoga specific" clothing is not necessary. Please no swimsuits. You will want to remove your shoes and socks. Face masks are welcome but not required. Or, if you’re just looking for a relaxing trip through the lake, then this is the perfect retreat. Secret Lake Park is a lesser known attraction near Altamonte Springs. It’s just off I-4 between Orlando and Lake Mary, and it is a beautiful spot to watch that Florida sun go down. As your host, I'll guide you through the Silver River via glass bottom kayaks! I'll make sure you experience all the hot spots that you're otherwise likely to miss on your own, while offering a unique underwater view of sunken shipwrecks, deep blue springs, caves, artifacts and more! We'll share our waterways with an abundance of wildlife such as manatees, alligators, turtles, otters, monkeys and several species of fish and birds! This is an experience you'll never forget; equal parts serene and adventurous and appropriate for all ages and experience levels! My glass bottom kayaks are the only of it's kind on the Silver River! They come with a sit-in-top design, so they are well suited to all-weather paddling. The cockpit is dropped lower into the boat, so stability is greatly increased and paddler comfort is enhanced. It's nearly impossible to tip or flip! My kayaks come standard with a transparent hull for underwater viewing all the way to the bottom, even in the deepest springs in the river. A padded seat, a floating paddle, dry storage and a PFD are included with your booking -1 adult (age 13+) per kayak max 200lbs -Double kayaks (300lbs max) can be booked via my website if you’re bringing children. Once the guest arrives at the designated location, which is one of the most exclusive lake chains in the area, we will give you a short introduction where we will talk about us the area and explain details about the activities to be carried out. Then we will proceed to the training prior to the activities, which include: 1- Tour through each of the lakes that make up this chain, where you can appreciate part of the wonderful wildlife that surrounds the entire area, points of interest and some of the beautiful mansions of local and international celebrities. 2-Free activities where you can experience in first person the excitement and adrenaline that aquatic activities offer, such as the handling of a Jet Ski, be prepared to be active and have a lot of fun. 3-We will stop where you will be able to see the clear water of these lakes and Swim with confidence, take pictures and videos of each other and keep the memories forever. Experience Breakdown - PLEASE READ BELOW: - Ages 4 and up are allowed on this experience. - Ages 16 and up may operate their own jet ski with a completed boaters course. - Anyone that will be operating/driving the jet ski that was born AFTER 1987 must complete a Florida Boaters Renters Course per state law. The link to the course will be provided upon booking. - Guests only need to pay for the number of jet skis that will be needed. During your visit to our salt cave, you will be surrounded by 20,000 pounds of pure Himalayan salt. In just one hour, you will learn about the history and benefits of pure Himalayan salt and how it was formed and dried up over a million years ago. You will touch and play in loose granular salt and experience salt-saturated air, similar to the Himalayan mountains' caves. You will leave relaxed and rejuvenated. We'll meet at the designated cafe right by the beach where there is plenty of public parking, then walk a few steps over to the beach and watch the sunset while I snap golden hour photos of you and your crew! You'll take in the gorgeous views and splash in the ocean as I take your pictures walking alongside the beach. Primarily a couples experience (you will add the quantity of *2* people when booking) unless you would prefer to have a family session in which I can accommodate you for! Let's go on a clear kayak ecotour adventure on the Weeki Wachee River- one of the most scenic waterways in Florida! We start in the quiet estuary of the Mud and Weeki Wachee Rivers, or where they meet the Gulf of Mexico.The first half of the paddle will take us through a salt marsh before we start kayaking up the Weeki Wachee River (a workout, but don't worry we take breaks) and the second half will be an easier trip back to our launch at Mary's Fish Camp. Be ready for lots of great local nature and wildlife such as manatees, dolphins, birds, turtles and fish while kayaking past iconic places on the river such as Rogers Park, a public swim area, and Hospital Hole- the river has so many places! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as the river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on. We spend the first 20 minutes taking care of the basics, signing waivers, kayaking lesson and information about the tour ahead. We spend 2 hours on the water depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way! This is a no exit tour to preserve the Weeki Wachee for generations to come. We spend the duration of our tour in our kayaks. Please note that weekends and holidays can be a popular time for recreation on the river! All of our kayaks are tandem kayaks unless otherwise arranged. No guest can be over 250lbs or a combined weight of 425.
