The yoga practice is on a flat, shaded space on the beach. I'll have yoga mats and personal brooms for you during class.

Our experience: Don Juan - Coffee and Chocolate Tour, will take you to know the entire Coffee process, from the seed to the delicious cup of coffee. Like coffee, we will talk about the entire Chocolate process, from the seed to the delicious chocolate bar and we will end up selecting some members of the group to grind the cacao beans and make their own chocolate bar. Once finished you will have the opportunity to taste several types of chocolate such as Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate. One of our main features is the infrastructure we have, since the Arenal Area is well known for having a very changing climate, it goes from being very sunny and humid to heavy rains, even with a electric storms on some occasions, that is why that 100% of our trails are protected and made of cement, which will allow to enjoy the tour on sunny or rainy days. Families with children who need to take their stroller or people with some physical limitation will not have trouble walking with a walker, crutches or wheelchair.

During the tour we will be driving atvs around beaches, mountains and towns, also we will be visiting viewpoints in the top of the hills to get beautiful pictures, the tour starts at playa Brasilto where you are going to get clear instruction of how to operate the atvs, also you will get all the safetly equipment, after this we will start driving north from Brasilito, diving along the coast line, going around playa Brasilto, playa flamingo and playa Potrero, after this we will visit the top of the hills and enjoy at the viewpoint, from here you will be able to see the best ocean view, all along the way we will be looking for Howler monkeys, after this we will return to playa Brasilto and finish the tour. Other things to note Bring beach clothes, we will stop at beach and is optional if you want to swim on the ocean, sunscreen is very important and don’t forget your camera

After booking our experiences, you will arrive at our kitchen where you will be very welcome and where you will share a good time with an authentic Costa Rican family. After introducing ourselves and getting to know each other over a refreshing drink, we will take you on a tour of our organic garden, where you will learn about the different crops and aromatic plants, followed by picking some of the ingredients that we will use for the preparation of our dish. When we return to the kitchen we will prepare a refreshing mojito to proceed to prepare a typical dish with fresh ingredients, produced by us and our neighbors. At the end of the preparation of the dish, we will consume everything prepared in a family atmosphere. If you come with more time than agreed there is a good chance to observe some animals such as frogs, birds and sloth that live in our garden.

We will meet at the beach in front of Hotel La Perla de la Playa (used to be Hotel Villa Amarilla), where we will discuss the conditions- tide, wind, waves, etc. We will start the lesson on land. We will go over how to stand on the board, where to put your weight, safety tips, and what we will be doing in the water. A little practice popping up in the sand and then we'll head to the water to start putting everything you just learned to the test! There I will accompany you in the waves and we'll start surfing! *Children 5 and older are welcome!* For those of you interested in getting your kids in the water, I specialize in teaching children. I have two kids of my own, both who having been surfing since they started walking, and sometimes even accompany me during the lessons :) *Other things to note* Bring your bathing suit/rash guard, a towel, sunscreen (zinc), water and snacks as needed. Do not bring any unnecessary belongings to the beach.

This is not a commercial coffee tour, it is an educational experience to create awareness in the only organic specialty coffee plantation in the Monteverde area, located in the Ecological Sanctuary, a 48 hectares family project focused on conservation, sustainability, agroecology, education and culture. In a guided workshop by an expert where you will learn from the basics of ancestral agriculture, how we create our own organic fertilizers, then you will know the coffee gardens planted in the forest that surrounds the Ecological Sanctuary, the drying area, and the process that involves the specialty coffee (history, plantations, growth, development, varieties and the science of flavor to prepare a good coffee). After leaving the forest, we will enjoy a guided coffee tasting, sharpening the senses to recognize defects, attributes, aromas and flavors in different qualities of coffee. Finally, we will create an interactive demonstration of the science of flavor and all the variables that an alchemist applies in the preparation of a coffee using different infusion methods. This workshop is an experience that will expand your knowledge of the world of coffee and help you become a home barista and an informed consumer. We also invite you to explore more of our property by hiking our trails, and connecting with nature.

Welcome to my home! First I will explain you how the Costa Rican diet has impacted the longevity and health of locals. Then you will learn why I chose the specific ingredients for the 6 traditional dishes that we will cook: - Empanadas - Arroz con Pollo (perfumed rice with chicken) - Gallo Pinto (traditional rice and beans) - Tortillas con Queso (handmade tortillas with local cheese) - Picadillo de Papa (potatoes in chunks with ground beef) - Fried Yuca I will demonstrate, oversee and guide the class so that you are the one who is cooking. My goal is that you can replicate the recipes when you return back home. These recipes have been transmitted generation after generation. I learned them from my mother and they will be handed to you. Making tortillas and empanadas are perfect activities for children, they love playing with corn dough, I do that with my little grandson Samuel when he visits me. Monteverde in Costa Rica is one of the best destinations for Birdwatching around different birds habitats. I was raised in Monteverde where I have been living all my life listening all the different bird calls all the time, that I can recognize 99% of them. My 31 years experience made me very exigent to use different birdwatching places, depending the season or weather conditions to see as many birds as possible. We'll start birdwatching at 6:00 AM, where we'll see about 30 different species of birds at an elevation of about 4,500 feet above sea level. Then we'll stop at the cafeteria for a quick Costa Rican coffee. After that, we'll move up to Curicancha Reserve where we'll walk through two different life zones including different types of forests (secondary, transitional and primary) plus open areas where we'll be able to see much more variety of birds or Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve to be at a different elevation—about 5,000 feet above sea level—where we'll see much more interesting birds, including the resplendent quetzal, guans, barbets, three-wattled bellbirds, tinamous, and so many others. Is good to know that if you repeat the tour, you must see other birds you didn't see the day before.. Typically we would see 60 to 70 different types of birds. Other things to note Bring binoculars, a bird book, hiking shoes, insect repellent, rain gear, and a hat.

Our day starts by meeting at our office located 20 min away from Liberia downtown through the small villages of Colorado and Curubande. We count with two parking lots at our location in Curubande where you can leave your car safe while we do the hike. From Curubande we will take a 4WD for 1 km that will take us to the entrance of the waterfall trail and here is where the hike begins. The waterfall is well hidden away on the outskirts of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano . The trail is 1.3 Miles (2 Kilometers) singletrack so together it is 4 km. There are some climbing to do in elevation and some caves to go across. Later to reach the waterfall we have to swim 25 meters through a beautiful turquoise river canyon. This is a local experience that takes place where the Blanco and the Colorado rivers cross through, forming canyons and beautiful scenery which is why the water in their pools have that special turquoise tint.

Distance is 2k each way (1.5miles each way) to a beautiful waterfall through the forest and in the Blanco River that comes from Rincón de la Vieja Volcano to see the Waterfall. I guarantee you it's breathtaking and that it'll be the highlight of your trip in Costa Rica. We will have to cross rivers, go through caves and canyons. (I provide life vests for safety so if you don't know how to swim don't worry. We got you! ) Duration: 3hrs total including the time swming in turquoise blue waters . Costa Rica is a small country in Central America that is home to around 5% of the world's biodiversity. Most animals in Costa Rica are nocturnal. If you like mammals such as sloths, armadillos, active birds such as owls, amphibians, reptiles, and many insects, then this is the opportunity to carry out an outdoor activity and learn more about the nocturnal behavior of many species of flora and fauna. It is an easily accessible route of around 2 kilometers, the ‘jewels’ of the cloud forest shine brighter at night. With luck, we will even be able to observe the famous bioluminescent mushrooms. the place where I do the night walk is very close to the center of Monteverde Santa Elena, it takes only 5 minutes by car. Let's wait for you to observe how the cloud forest comes to life at night.

We'll meet at Pico Bistro (a cafe located right by Tamarindo beach) and pick out a surf board and rash guard for you. Before getting into the water we will go through safety the correct way to paddle, hot to stand up and some surf etiquette. Before going into the water you will practice popping up a few times on the sand and when you feel ready we'll go into the water. In the water your instructor will be on your side all the time, giving you tips to help you improve your surfing as we go. Your instructor will make sure you have fun and feel comfortable, and get you riding your first wave! The lesson is 1.5-2h long depending on how many people we send per instructor. If you are a more experienced surfer, we can discuss what you want to improve and then in the water your instructor will give you pointers on how to perfect your surfing.

Let's shoot this lovely tropical proposal at the magical langosta beach with a professional photographer. We can do the surprise in two different ways: a) we can all meet as we were going to do a typical couple shooting at the beach and suddenly in a prearrange beauty spot you propose to your partner and I will be ready to have that memory in a lot pictures for you two :) b)we can arrange a beauty spot that you two will be walking through and I would be hiding between a few trees looking at you, when suddenly you propose to your partner I would be taking a lot of pictures for you to have that lovely memories together. After that moment we can do a few more pics together and wiht the rings in one of the most magical sunsets in pacific side and in a beautiful jungle secret path. Finally you will have the memories of the most lovely proposal at the beach and 40 digital professional pictures edited in high resolution and all the pictures that we took for you too (you choose the 40 one you want me to edit).
