I will be teaching you how to make 3 different types of pasta from scratch, how to incorporate a healthy twist into each one, show you how to make a delicious sauce using ingredients already in the pantry. Mole is a delicious Mexican sauce that has 20+ ingredients, the most traditional ones are from the city's of Oaxaca and Puebla in México. Im gonna teach you my Grandmas recipe!! and at the end of the class you will have the recipe in your email. Also explain you the different varieties of moles around México. We will start with a traditional Agua fresca, and then you will make your own mole from scratch, recognizing all the ingredients and steps, we also gonna smoke the way the ancestors do hundreds of years ago. im gonna gide you in each step but I want you to be hands on. We will enjoyed the mole at the end, served buffet style with chicken, jalapeño green rice, beans with avocado leaves, and veggies. This is a very special experience. You will enter an intimate artistic living space, with Spanish music. You will be enjoying a couple of Spanish tapas and your bottle of beverage that you bring. As you finish the tapas, you will enjoy a lecture performance flamenco show with different styles or flamenco "palos"; through dance, sounds, melodies, feelings, emotions and all from our inner soul. Each experience is unique, different and expresses feelings from the dancer. You will then have a time for a small lesson and also Q & A if you want. Chicago’s most entertaining magic show! Fun, intimate, sometimes outrageous, and always hilarious. Door opens 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Venue is BYOB. Cups and bottle openers are available if needed. We do not stock ice but there is a 7-Eleven just down the street (3407 N Halsted). Performance runs approximately 1 hour. This experience is ongoing. We'll meet at my home in the backyard. My urban garden was created 10 years ago when I bought this property on the northwest side of Chicago to keep honeybees. I am passionate about supporting the environment and became interested in honeybees after attending a lecture from a local beekeeper. My dad told me that my grandfather and he had kept bees and in the olden days, beekeeping was as ordinary as gardening. Now, I work tirelessly every year to keep honeybees healthy and pollinating the forests and gardens. We will go on a tour of bee forage (food for bees) and observe the hive activity. You'll see the life of a beekeeper in the current season and I'll explain how bees communicate, grow and slow in the winter. Also, you'll learn the role of the queen, drones, workers, nurse bees and foragers. There won't be any honey sampling because I believe in the decommodification of honey bees and their work. * If you would like to book a custom day & time, please message me and I maybe able to create availability for your group. This may not be the right experience for guests with past history of allergic reactions to bees. Stings are very rare, but always possible.

Take a walk and tour a working organic herb farm! You will be guided by your host on how to grow and harvest a wide variety of herbs, learn how they are traditionally used for culinary or medicinal purposes, and become more connected to the rhythm of nature. You will also create a seasonal herbal/flower bundle to take home with you. Please, no children under 12 other than those under 2. Cancellations accepted but, must be made 72 hours or more prior to the experience for a full refund. Fees may apply per Airbnb policy. You will be using a coal-fired forge, treadle hammer, tongs, cross peen hammer, and anvil, along with a 2"X72" belt grinder. We will be hand-forging a railroad spike into a beautiful and functional knife. We will start by firing the coal forge and drawing out the handle with the treadle hammer. We will twist the handle and start drawing out the blade. Once we have a handle and blade formed we will "quench" the blade to harden it. We will use the grinder to put an edge on your finished Railroad Spike Knife. You will learn the basics of forging iron with a coal-fired forge. You'll meet me at my shop, and with a hammer in hand you'll learn the basics of blacksmithing. You will square, taper, twist, bend, scroll, and flatten the metal into your unique wall hook. Other things to note This is a rustic hands-on work experience. Be prepared to get dirty! You will build a full tang knife or blade from a high-carbon steel blank. You will use a 2"X72" variable speed belt grinder to establish a primary bevel.  Next, you will choose from a selection of handle materials (scales), ranging from exotic hardwoods to composite materials. micarta, You will shape and form your scales to fit your grip and liking. Next, you will finish your scales and prepare for assembly. You will create a high-quality, fully functional knife or blade that you will be proud of and use for years to come. upon entering Aroma Workshop in Chicago's Lincoln Park guests are given a card to indicate which scents from our "Scent Bar" they like, then a friendly Perfumer expertly blends scents on tester strips for the guests to sample. When their favorite is picked it goes into a choice of 1 oz. bottles. The trip starts with pleasant ride through the center of town in Saugatuck MI on the Kalamazoo river. The river then spills out onto Lake Michigan where patrons can assist with raising and setting sails. We then catch the wind and head up the beautiful dune lined coast. Time to enjoy the natural wonder of 100 plus miles of white sands beaches, wander the deck driven only be the wind. The trip ends with a relaxing run back up river to the docks. Other things to note Sailing is a motion filled activity and guests that tend to have motion sickness should prepare in advance.

1. Guests join us at our space Studio W.I.P. and dive into the world of spray paint and urban art. All instruction is done by local artists. Each guest will go home with their very own piece of the mural to remember their night. 2. Upon entering guests can relax and enjoy our ever changing gallery. Feel free to bring a beverage. It's BYOB! Guests will unleash their inner street artist on a 50ft wall! This interactive workshop will turn guests into the artist and be guided along the way. Experimenting with lettering, stencils, aerosol, & cap technique guests will experience something truly unique. 3. Our main objective is to break down stereotypes that often are connected with spray paint. Guests will leave with curiosity and basic skills when applying aerosol to boot.

We meet you on our homestead in the deep, lush forests of Northern Michigan. After a short introduction we venture off with the goats, down the trail, deeper into the woods…as they browse and forage for food. As we walk there is plenty of time for Q and A and space for the joy of experiencing this pastoral pastime of days gone by. Time slows down as we venture with the goats on their quest to seek the finest of the available forest greenery.
