In this experience, you will visit the unparalleled DOURO VALLEY, the first-denominated wine region in the world and a world heritage site by UNESCO. The day starts at our meeting point and then we will be heading to the Valley. For the drive we will do a loop around the valley to better see and enjoy all the different landscapes, first driving through the N323 with all the astonishing viewpoints of the valley and where we have the first stop, a small winery from a local producer to try his regular wines (reds and whites from the region) and olive oil. The second stop is at Pinhão for a typical Portuguese lunch at a local tavern with great options for Vegans and Vegetarians. Still in Pinhão, we have a 1-hour mini-cruise in a typical Rabelo boat along the astonishing Douro River with the Valley as a background view (the boat cruise is shared with other groups). The journey will continue through the National Road 222, one of the most iconic roads in Portugal, winner of the "World's Best Driving Road Award", which will take us to the second winery for more tasting, parings and story tales from the wineries owners. After that, we will return to Porto and arrive to Porto at around 6:00 PM.

We will first start by evaluating six wine, 3 whites, 3 reds so we can have a grounded knowledge before we pair it with cheeses. This experience will be carried out in a very intimate environment inside our room tasting located in the Porto city center, right across the street from one of the most emblematic buildings in Porto, "Palácio da Bolsa". We will start by learning about Portuguese wines and wine regions across the country, but mainly about the Port. Note that Portugal is the biggest per capita producer of wine in the World and wines are exactly what we have the most! Hosting is a passion and I have been doing this all my life with friends and family and so to call it a job: is a dream come true. To start our experience, we will talk a little bit about me and my family since this is a recipe that belongs to my grandmothers and we have been doing it for years, so you can understand the uniqueness and how lucky I was when growing up eating these amazing Pastéis. This is a hands-on class, we will bake everything from scratch as a group with my help! That is the most important part, we will create the most delicious Pastel de Nata because we will put lots of love, time and care into them. Everybody will help, we will take turns and I will give you a lot of fun facts regarding the story about them and who created Keep in mind: You don't need to be a baker to do this experience - the recipe is simple and I will guide you through all the process. Together we can find that perfect and different piece of clothing that everyone will ask you where you got it from. Porto is a walking city. We will wrap our tour with an optional Porto sweet experience* where you can savor some local pastries, or port wine. Hey, after all walking is done, we need to treat ourselves. *Porto sweet Experience: This tour is optional and free of charge, but the costs of drinks/food not included. For the purpose of this experience: I can you to local coffee shops at the end of the tour, at the fashionable places in the city (extra cost). If you want to make this more of a girls date, we can kick out our day with a brunch and mimosas (extra cost, paid directly to the restaurant).
