We will meet at the "Angel de Independencia" between early morning to escape the city chaos. Our group will have private comfortable transportation. We will stop for an early breakfast in Actopan, a city halfway to our destination. The day is divided into three parts. Pool Tranquility: Start your day relaxing a while in the “pocitos”; naturally warm thermal pools that provide astounding views that soothe & clear the body and mind –perfect for “the gram.” River Relaxation: Next, the turquoise-colored river is well-managed and is naturally warm due to the thermal springs, a complete relaxing experience. Lunch will be alongside the river (weather permitting). During the tour, we will tell you about the history of the place and its importance to the sustainability of Mexico City. In your way, you will recognize the biological richness like birds, snakes, frogs and plants. We will arrive at a chinampa where you can get your hands dirty experiencing the ancestral technique of cultivation and discovering why it is considered a world heritage. Also, you will get involve in the diary activities in the chinampa like crop irrigation, harvest or seeding. Before going back to land, you will have time to relax and enjoy the peace of the place. During this experience, you will learn to cook the famous "tacos al pastor" with my dad, a professional instructor and culinary artist, who will share his tips and recipes with you. We'll meet at the local market to buy ingredients and learn more about Mexican spices and food. Then we'll return to my family home, where you will learn how to marinate the meat for the tacos. You will prepare red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole, and make your own tortillas on the traditional Mexican "Comal"—a smooth, flat griddle. We will sail on canoe through the most conserved channels of Xochimilco wetland. During the tour, we will tell you about the history of the place and its importance to the sustainability of Mexico City. In your way, you will recognize the biological richness like birds, snakes, frogs and plants. We will arrive at a chinampa where you can get your hands dirty experiencing the ancestral technique of cultivation and discovering why it is considered a world heritage. Also, you will get involve in the diary activities in the chinampa like crop irrigation, harvest or seeding. Before going back to land, you will have time to relax and enjoy the peace of the place. This is a cultural tour that helps to promote the community development.

Let’s discover Frida Kahlo museum and neighborhood from a different point of view, mixing top landmarks, beautiful parks, street art, colorful markets and take original and unforgettable photos! We will show you all this while riding bikes through beautiful Coyoacan - Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera's neighborhood and first capital of New Spain up to 1523. At some point during our journey, we will take a break to enjoy delicious churros with atole in a colorful plaza as well as yummy tostadas in the market. We’ll end our ride in Frida’s House, where WE WILL PROVIDE TICKETS* so you can skip the -usually more than two hour- line. * There might be changes due to COVID measures, we have to do a short line (5-10 min) before entering the museum. Don’t worry it won’t be 2 hours. Note: The experience will end at the entrance of the museum so you can enjoy it at your own pace. We will walk the quietest street in Coyoacan, Francisco Sosa St., to enjoy at slow motion the place that was selected 500 years ago by Hernán Cortés to initiate Mexico's conquest, as we see the original architecture with huge gardens along the street to enjoy a fresh hike. Then we will have our lunch at tacos de carnitas Venadito with a beer. Finally we will go shopping to Oasis to get you a dessert or coffee. Details are as follows: 1. We will meet at Fuente de los Coyotes (fountain) in Jardin Centenario. 2. We will start walking through Francisco Sosa street to show you buildings that have been there since XVII century and explain you the history of those places. 3. We will reach Casa de Cultura Jesús Reyes Heroles and see Frida and Diego statues, enjoy peaceful huge gardens and let you have a little break. 4. We will resume our walk outside at Parque Francisco Sosa, see the Capilla de Santa Catarina and continue the main street. 5. We wiil see a small gallery, some more old buildings and Capilla San Antonio de Padua (original Franciscan church). 6. We will reach El Venadito, very famous tacos de carnitas in Coyoacán to have our lunch. 7. Finally we will cross the street to reach Oasis Coyoacán shopping mall. Other things to note Mobility required as we will walk almost 1.3 miles so feel comfortable. Bring water, cap, sunglasses, umbrella and money for shopping.
