In this experience, you will visit the unparalleled DOURO VALLEY, the first-denominated wine region in the world and a world heritage site by UNESCO. The day starts at our meeting point and then we will be heading to the Valley. For the drive we will do a loop around the valley to better see and enjoy all the different landscapes, first driving through the N323 with all the astonishing viewpoints of the valley and where we have the first stop, a small winery from a local producer to try his regular wines (reds and whites from the region) and olive oil. The second stop is at Pinhão for a typical Portuguese lunch at a local tavern with great options for Vegans and Vegetarians. Still in Pinhão, we have a 1-hour mini-cruise in a typical Rabelo boat along the astonishing Douro River with the Valley as a background view (the boat cruise is shared with other groups). The journey will continue through the National Road 222, one of the most iconic roads in Portugal, winner of the "World's Best Driving Road Award", which will take us to the second winery for more tasting, parings and story tales from the wineries owners. After that, we will return to Porto and arrive to Porto at around 6:00 PM.

This experience will be carried out in a very intimate environment inside our room tasting located in the Porto city center, right across the street from one of the most emblematic buildings in Porto, "Palácio da Bolsa". We will start by learning about Portuguese wines and wine regions across the country, but mainly about the Port. Note that Portugal is the biggest per capita producer of wine in the World and wines are exactly what we have the most! For the tasting, you will have the chance to learn the history of Port wine and the different, but most important of all, to taste them and learn how to pair them. For those who would like to go deeper into the Port Wine culture, you can have the chance to upgrade your experience and open an Old Port Wine with hot tongs. For this, we need to warm up a special tong to very high temperatures) this is an ancient process we still use to not destroy the cork while opening the bottle and, as such, keep the wine intact, free of cork contamination. OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO HAVE AN EXCELLENT SURFING EXPERIENCE, whether it's your first time trying surfing or you are trying to advance your skills. We'll get suited up in the wetsuits I provide, grab the surfboards and head down to the sand. This experience is for Small Groups (MAXIMUM 8 PARTICIPANTS per COACH) from total beginners surfers. For the first 15 minutes we’ll be training on the beach, then the rest of the classe with an instructor in the ocean. Other things to note A container to change clothes (NOT IN THE STREET) and safe space to store your belongings (NOT IN A CAR). At the end of the lesson you have access to an outdoor shower. In this three hour tour, we will show you the oldest part of the city and share its stories with you and secrets that shaped the city to its present state. We will go through old monasteries, churches, and other unique landmarks of Porto. You will understand why the city is called the "Invicta", and how we helped Portugal during its Age of Seafaring Discoveries, the Napoleonic Invasions. What led to the siege of the city during Portugal’s civil war of the 19th Century. Half way through our route we will stop in one of our favorite "cafés" to take a break and enjoy a nice "expresso", Portuguese style.
